” In Sir Rupert Jackson’s Final Report he identified the need for the court to take on the important role of costs management as a necessary part of case management. It is no longer acceptable for questions of costs to be left to the end of litigation when the costs have been spent. Some control on the expenditure of costs needs to be implemented as part of the case management of cases.
