The Queen has appointed Anne Mary Arnold to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Lewes Crown Court with effect from 1 April 2019 on a salaried part time basis of 80%.

Anne Mary Arnold, aged 60 will be known as Her Honour Judge Arnold. She was called to the Bar (I) in 1981. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 1997, as a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 1999 and as Recorder in 2005.
