The Queen has appointed Simon Joseph Auerbach to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lidington MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Cambridge County Court with effect from 19 February 2018.

Notes to editors

Simon Joseph Auerbach will be known as His Honour Judge Auerbach. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1985. He was appointed as a fee-paid Chairman of Employment Tribunals in 2004 and as a salaried Employment Judge in 2007. He was appointed as a Civil Recorder in 2010 and a Criminal Recorder in 2015.
