The Queen has appointed Ian Stephen Bugg to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lidington MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at East London Family Court with effect from 22 January 2018.

Notes to editors

Ian Stephen Bugg, aged 47, will be known as His Honour Judge Bugg. He was called to the Bar (M) in 1992 and appointed as a Recorder in 2016.
