Circuit Judge Appointment: Cartwright

The Queen has appointed Nicolas Frederick Cartwright to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Midland Circuit, based at Worcester and Wolverhampton Crown Court with effect from 26 October 2015.

Notes to editors

Nicolas Frederick Cartwright, aged 52, will be known as His Honour Judge Cartwright. He was called to the Bar (M) in 1986. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Court) in 2005 and as a Recorder in 2009.
