Circuit Judge Appointment: Claire Evans

The Queen has appointed Claire Louise Evans to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Northern Circuit, based at Manchester County Court and Lancashire with effect from 1 June 2018.

Notes to editors

Claire Louise Evans, aged 46, will be known as Her Honour Judge Claire Evans. She was called to the Bar (M) in 1994. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2005 and as a District Judge in 2008.
