The Queen has appointed Christopher John Cooper to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Kingston-Upon-Hull Combined Court and Great Grimsby Combined Court with effect from 20 April 2020.

Christopher John Cooper, aged 58, will be known as His Honour Judge Christopher Cooper. He was admitted to the roll in 1986. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 1998 and as a District Judge in 2008.
