Circuit Judge Appointment: Edward Burgess QC

The Queen has appointed Edward Norman Burgess QC to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Reading Crown Court with effect from 11 March 2019.

Edward Norman Burgess QC, aged 54 will be known as His Honour Judge Edward Burgess QC. He was called to the Bar (I) in 1993, and took Silk in 2017. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2005.
