Circuit Judge Appointment: Ferris

The Queen has appointed Jonathan Moreton Ferris to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Elizabeth Truss MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Isleworth Crown Court with effect from Thursday 30 March 2017.

Jonathan Moreton Ferris, aged 61, will be known as His Honour Judge Ferris. He was called to the Bar (M) in 1979. He was appointed as an Assistant Recorder in 1996, as a Recorder in 2000, as a fee-paid Chairman of the Employment Tribunal for England and Wales in 2001 (now known as a fee-paid Employment Judge) and as a salaried Employment Judge in 2011.
