The Queen has appointed Ruth Fine to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Midland Circuit, based at Nottingham County Court and Family Court and Lincoln County Court and Family Court with effect from 05 October 2020.
Background information
Ruth Fine, aged 62, will be known as Her Honour Judge Fine. She was admitted to the Roll in 1982. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 1999, as a Tribunal Judge in 1999, as a District Judge in 2003, as a Recorder in 2004 and as a Deputy Master in 2020.
