Circuit Judge Appointment: Fiona Shanks

The Queen has appointed Wilhelmina Fiona Shanks to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern circuit, based at Chelmsford County and Family Court with effect from 25 June 2018.

Notes to editors

Wilhelmina Fiona Shanks, aged 62, will be known as Her Honour Judge Fiona Shanks. She was admitted as a Solicitor in 1980. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 1991 and as a District Judge in 1998.
