Circuit Judge Appointment: George

The Queen has appointed Jane Elizabeth George to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP.

The Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, has deployed her to the Midland Circuit, based at both Leicester and Northampton County and Family Courts witheffect from 22 October 2014.

Notes to editors

Jane Elizabeth George, aged 55, will be known as Her Honour Judge George. She was admitted as a Solicitor in 1984. She was appointed as a Fee-paid Legal Member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal from 1995 until 2006, as a Deputy District Judge in 1998 and as a District Judge in 2007.
