The Queen has appointed Anthony James Brown to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Teesside Combined Court Centre with effect from 6 April 2016.

Anthony James Brown, aged 48 will be known as His Honour Judge James Brown. He was called to the Bar (L) in 1990. He was appointed a Recorder in 2008 and as a Fee-paid Tribunal Judge of the First Tier Health Education and Social care in 2014.
