The Queen has appointed Dean Earl Kershaw to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lidington MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Midland Circuit, based at Wolverhampton Combined Court, with effect from 15 January 2018.

Notes to editors

Dean Earl Kershaw, aged 46, will be known as His Honour Judge Kershaw. He was called to the Bar (L) in 1995. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Immigration Judge (now known as Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in 2006 and as a Recorder in 2008.
