Circuit Judge Appointment: Major

The Queen has appointed Kathryn Elizabeth Major to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at East London Family Court and Bromley County Court with effect from 29 January 2018.

Notes to editors

Kathryn Elizabeth Major, aged 48, will be known as Her Honour Judge Major. She was admitted as a solicitor in 1994, appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2005 and appointed as a District Judge in 2011.
