The Queen has appointed Soraya McKinnell to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lidington MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Barnet County Court on a salaried part time working basis of 90% with effect from 22 January 2018.

Notes to editors

Soraya McKinnell will be known as Her Honour Judge McKinnell. She was called to the Bar (M) in 1991. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010 and as a District Judge in 2014.
