Circuit Judge Appointment: Mellanby

The Queen has appointed Carolyn Ann Fitzherbert Mellanby to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern circuit, based at Watford County Court with effect from 9 July 2018.

Carolyn Ann Fitzherbert Mellanby, aged 66, will be known as Her Honour Judge Mellanby. She was called to the Bar (G) in 1975 and Admitted as a Solicitor in 1990. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 1999 and a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2009.
