The Queen has appointed Claire Elizabeth Murden to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Leeds Combined Court and Sheffield Combined Court with effect from 19 February 2018.

Claire Elizabeth Murden, aged 42, will be known as Her Honour Judge Murden. She was called to the Bar (G) in 1999. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2016.
