Circuit Judge Appointment: Reid

The Queen has appointed Silas James Reid to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Inner London Crown Court with effect from 9 July 2018.

Notes to editors

Silas James Reid, aged 46, will be known as His Honour Judge Reid. He was called to Bar (L) in 1995. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2012 and as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Health, Education and Social Care Chamber in 2018.
