Circuit Judge Appointment: Richards

The Queen has appointed Edward Michael John Richards to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Western Circuit, based at Bournemouth Combined Court with effect from 19 March 2018.

Notes to editors

Edward Michael John Richards, aged 51, will be known as His Honour Judge Edward Richards. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1993. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010 and a District Judge in 2012.
