Circuit Judge Appointment: Rufus Taylor

The Queen has appointed Rufus Alexander Ottley Taylor to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Guildford Crown Court with effect from 25 March 2019.

Rufus Alexander Ottley Taylor, aged 46 will be known as His Honour Judge Rufus Taylor. He was called to the Bar (M) in 1998. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates Court) in 2009 and as a Recorder in 2012.
