Circuit Judge Appointment: Scannell

The Queen has appointed Jayne Louise Scannell to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Wales Circuit, based in the South East Wales region with effect from 8 April 2019.

Notes to editors 

Jayne Louise Scannell, aged 47 will be known as Her Honour Judge Scannell. She was admitted as a Solicitor in 1996. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010 and as a District Judge in 2014.
