The Queen has appointed Gordon Edward Shelton to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Sheffield Law Courts with effect from 22 January 2018.

Gordon Edward Shelton, aged 58, will be known as His Honour Judge Shelton. He was called to the Bar (I) in 1981 and appointed as a Recorder in 1999.
