The Queen has appointed Christopher Albert Simmonds to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Western Circuit, based at Portsmouth Combined Court with effect from 3 April 2018.

Christopher Albert Simmonds, aged 44 will be known as His Honour Judge Simmonds. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1999. He was appointed as a District Judge in 2010.
