The Queen has appointed John Richard Dominic Thackray QC to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Great Grimsby Combined Court with effect from 18 March 2019.

John Richard Dominic Thackray QC, aged 48 will be known as His Honour Judge Thackray QC. He was called to the Bar (L) in 1994, and took Silk in 2019. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2016.
