Circuit Judge Appointment: van der Zwart

The Queen has appointed Mark Andrew van der Zwart to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Lewes Crown Court with effect from 11 March 2019.

Notes to editors

Mark Andrew van der Zwart, aged 54 will be known as His Honour Judge van der Zwart. He was called to the Bar (M) in 1988. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2009.
