Circuit Judge at the Central Criminal Court Appointment: Rafferty QC

The Queen has appointed Angela Margaret Mary Rafferty QC to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to sit on the South Eastern Circuit, based at the Central Criminal Court with effect from 7 January 2019.

Notes to editors

 Angela Margaret Mary Rafferty QC, aged 48, will be known as Her Honour Judge Angela Rafferty QC. She was called to the Bar (L) in 1995 and took Silk in 2015. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2009.
