Circuit Judge: Howells

The Queen has appointed Catherine Jane Howells to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lidington MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Wales Circuit, based at Wrexham Civil and Family Court with effect from 22 January 2018.

Notes to editors

Catherine Jane Howells, aged 50, will be known as Her Honour Judge Howells. She was called to the Bar in 1989. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2008.
