The Queen has appointed John David Edwards to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lidington MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Northern Circuit, based at Manchester Crown Court with effect from 22 January 2018.

John David Edwards, aged 58, will be known as His Honour Judge John Edwards. He was called to the Bar (I) in 1983. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2002.
