The Queen has appointed Jennifer Rosemary James to be a Costs Judge (Taxing Master of the Senior Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Royal Courts of Justice with effect from 21 September 2015.

Notes to editors

Jennifer Rosemary James, aged 48, will be known as Costs Judge James. She was admitted as a Solicitor in 1992. She was appointed as a Deputy Costs Judge in 2002.
