Court of Appeal: Retirement of Lord Justice Moore-Bick

Lord Justice Moore-Bick retires as Lord Justice of Appeal with effect from 7 December 2016.

Sir Martin James Moore-Bick (70) was called to the Bar (I) in 1969, took Silk in 1986 and elected a Bencher in 1992. He was Treasurer of the Inner Temple in 2015. He was appointed a Recorder in 1990, a Judge of the High Court (Queen’s Bench Division) in 1995 and a Lord Justice of Appeal in 2005, when he was sworn as a Privy Councillor. He was Deputy Head of Civil Justice from 2007 to 2012, appointed Vice President, Court of Appeal (Civil Division) in 2014 and Chairman of the Legal Services Consultancy Panel from 2005 to 2009.
