DEATH IN SERVICE: JUDGE PETER JAMES MICHAEL HOLLINGWORTH

The Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, The Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon, the Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Sir Ernest Ryder and the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP, were saddened to learn of the death of Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) Judge Peter James Michael Hollingworth on 4 July 2020. 

Notes to editors 

Peter James Michael Hollingworth (69) was called to the Bar (L) in 1993.  He was appointed as an Acting Provincial Stipendiary Magistrate (now known as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrate’s Courts) in 1998 and an Immigration Adjudicator in 2002. He was appointed an Immigration Judge (now known as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in 2005.
