Deputy Chamber President Retirement: Hinchliffe

Upper Tribunal Judge (David) Mark Hinchliffe retires as Deputy Chamber President of the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber (Mental Health) with effect from 1 June 2018. 

Notes to editors 

Upper Tribunal Judge Hinchliffe (62) was admitted as a Solicitor in 1979. He was appointed as an Immigration Adjudicator in 1990 (now known as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber), a Legal Chairman of the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal for England in 1994 and Director of Tribunals’ Training at the Judicial Studies Board (now known as the Judicial College) in 2007. He was appointed Deputy Chamber President for the First-tier Tribunal (Health, Education and Social Care Chamber – Mental Health) and an Upper Tribunal Judge (Administrative Appeals Chamber) in 2009.
