District Judge Appointment: Kelly

The Queen has appointed Emma Louise Kelly to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP.

The Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, has deployed her to the Midland Circuit, based at Birmingham Civil and Family Justice Centre. She will take up post with effect from 23 March 2015 on a salaried part-time working basis (90%).

Notes to editors

Emma Louise Kelly, aged 40, will be known as District Judge Emma Kelly. She was called to the Bar (L) in 1997. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010.
