District Judge Appointment: Louise O’Neill

The Queen has appointed Louise Catherine O’Neill to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Elizabeth Truss MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Western Circuit, to be based at Plymouth Combined Court and Torquay & Newton Abbot County and Family Court with effect from 21 October 2016.

Louise Catherine O’Neill, aged 53, will be known as District Judge Louise O’Neill. She was called to the Bar (G) in 1989. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2004.
