District Judge Appointment: McGinty

The Queen has appointed Robert Fraser McGinty to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

 The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Midland Circuit, based at Stoke-on-Trent Combined Court with effect from 26 March 2018.

 Robert Fraser McGinty, aged 46, will be known as District Judge McGinty. He was called to the Bar (I) in 1994. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal (now known as Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in 2006, as a Deputy Judge of the Upper Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chamber in 2015 and as a Deputy District Judge in 2015
