The Queen has appointed Ellen McLaughlin to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Wakefield Civil and Family Justice Centre with effect from 17 April 2018.

Ellen McLaughlin, aged 50 will be known as District Judge McLaughlin. She was Admitted as a Solicitor in 1996. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010.
