District Judge Appointment: Pratt

The Queen has appointed Jake Stephen Pratt to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

 The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Wales Circuit, on a peripatetic basis at Pontypridd County and Family Court, Merthyr Tydfil Combined Court Centre and Newport County and Family Court with effect from 3 September 2018.

Notes to editors

 Jake Stephen Pratt, aged 35, will be known as District Judge Pratt. He was called to Bar (L) in 2004. He was appointed as a fee paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Social Entitlement Chamber in 2011 and as a Deputy District Judge in 2013.
