District Judge Appointment: Sweeney

The Queen has appointed Christian Noël Sweeney to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Elizabeth Truss MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Milton Keynes County Court with effect from 23 November 2016.

Christian Noël Sweeney, aged 51, will be known as District Judge Sweeney. He was called to Bar (G) in 1992. He was appointed as a Tribunal Judge First Tier Social Entitlement Chamber in 2011, an Employment Judge in 2013, appointed as a Recorder in 2012 and appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2015.
