The Queen has appointed Ian Taylor to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Western Circuit, based at Truro County Court with effect from 1 May 2018.

Ian Taylor, aged 51 will be known as District Judge Ian Taylor. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1991. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2004.
