The Queen has appointed Katie Thomas to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Midland Circuit, based at Walsall County Court with effect from 5 March 2018.

Katie Thomas, aged 46 will be known as District Judge Kate Thomas. She was called to the Bar (G) in 1994. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2015.
