District Judge: Death in Service


The Lord Chief Justice, Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd, and the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP, were saddened to learn of the death of District Judge Richard John Toombs on 30 January 2016.

Richard John Toombs (55) was called to the Bar in 1983. He was appointed as a District Judge in 2001, having served as a Deputy District Judge in 1999.
