District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) Appointment: Briony Clarke

The Queen has appointed Briony Josephine Clarke to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Midland Circuit, based at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court with effect from 23 March 2020.

Briony Josephine Clarke, aged 34, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) Briony Clarke. She was admitted to the Roll in 2009. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ courts) in 2017.
