District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Appointment: Goozée

The Queen has appointed Samuel Mark Goozée to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Northern Circuit, based at Manchester & Salford Magistrates’ Court with effect from 23 March 2016.

Notes to editors

Samuel Mark Goozée, aged 45, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Goozée. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1997. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2012.
