The Queen has appointed James Andrew Hatton to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Lidington MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Northern Circuit, based at Manchester Magistrates’ Court with effect from 29 January 2018.

James Andrew Hatton, aged 37, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Hatton. He was admitted as a solicitor in 2004. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2012.
