The Queen has appointed Christopher Glynn Lawrence James to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Brighton Magistrates’ Court with effect from 22 March 2016.

Christopher Glynn Lawrence James, aged 40, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) James. He was called to the Bar (G) in 1997. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Social Entitlement Chamber (Social Security and Child Support) in 2013.
