District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Appointment: Julie Cooper

The Queen has appointed Julie Ann Margaret Joan Cooper to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable David Gauke MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Croydon Magistrate’ Court with effect from 4 June 2018.

Julie Ann Margaret Joan Cooper, aged 58, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Julie Cooper. She was admitted as a Solicitor in 1990. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Court) in 2000.
