The Queen has appointed Joanna Matson to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit with effect from 21 March 2016.

Joanna Matson, aged 46, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Matson. She admitted as a Solicitor in 1998. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2012.
