District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts): Fudge

The Queen has appointed Sally Ruth Fudge to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Michael Gove MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Midland Circuit, based at Leicester Magistrates’ Court with effect from 9 June 2016.

Notes to editors

Sally Ruth Fudge, aged 40, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Fudge. She was called to the Bar (L) in 1998. She was appointed as a Fee-Paid Deputy District Judge Magistrates’ Court in 2012.
