High Court: Retirement of The Honourable Sir Bernard Eder

The Honourable Sir Bernard Eder retires from the High Court (Queen’s Bench Division) with effect from 2 April 2015.

Sir Bernard Eder (62) was called to the Bar (I) in 1975, took Silk in 1991 and elected as a Bencher in 2007. He was Visiting Professor at University College, London from 1999 to 2003. He was appointed an Assistant Recorder in 1996, a Recorder in 2000 and a Judge of the High Court (Queen’s Bench Division) in 2011 (assigned to sit in the Commercial Court). He is currently Senior Editor of Scrutton on Charterparties and Bills of Lading.
